Life is good. But I still find myself to lazy to post. Maybe that is a signal that life is very very good. Or that I am very very lazy. But other blogger friends of mine who are fellow teachers at my school (Hey Bobby and Shannon!!) who have found themselves in a blogging slump finally wrote on their blog yesterday, so I feel that I must do the same. I am such a follower.
Firstly, there is no reason for this title except for that I thought it sounded funny and I was listening to Beyonce on my way to work this morning (Foxy Cleopatra is Beyonce’s character in “Austin Powers: Goldmember” if you were wondering). Speaking of pseudo-sexy, pop-tarty, voluptuous crossover popstars, my blogging teacher friend Shannon and I were talking about the sheer awesomeness of Mariah Carey yesterday as we were taking the elevator at school yesterday. Isn’t she (Mariah) just awesome?
Anyhoo, what to say? I am still trudging along at work. Report cards were due yesterday, so grading, hunching myself over the computer to input marks, and straining my eyes has been on the carte du jour. Australia turned out to be okay, but honestly, I can not see myself ever returning to that place. Sorry. I know that people (typically North Americans) seem to love that place, but I just don’t see what all the hoopla is about. I looks like North America. Right down to the Krispy Kremes and Burger Kings (though, for some odd reason, BK is called Hungry Jacks out there). Same same same. But at 3 times the price. Is it worth it (to me)? No sir. So while I am glad that went (particularly because the training I went out there for was invaluable and my trip was all-expense paid), I am quite happy to limit my experiences with Australia to this one trip, and scratch it off the list.
Speaking of which (the list), it is growing steadily. I have now “conquered” 6 of 7 continents (only Antarctica left). I feel like Amelia Earhart (even though she was a pilot and white and disappeared into the Pacific Ocean). Yay to fun, fearless, female travellers. Yay for independent women. And bra burning. And all-expense paid work vacations (oops, I mean trips). And I’m rambling.
Yea, so travel and the growing destination list. I’m going to Taiwan this weekend with my German liebling (leaving on Friday), and just last night we booked our Chinese New Year trip to Vietnam.

Sorry you didn't like Australia, however if you are a teacher, perhaps a little more time on spelling things correctly and not pontificating on the negatives of a country you have chosen to travel, may be a little more beneficial, especially before you write those report cards telling parents that little Johnny Appletree needs to give a little more attention to his spelling 🙂
@Anonymous: Thanks for the heads up on the spelling, but why the negative/snarky comment? Spelling errors aside, Australia wasn't my bag. That's just my opinion. No worries if you don't agree. 🙂
