So today I:
Ate good food (including the most delectable fries and mayonnaise ever at a Belgian restaurant), did nerdy French teacher stuff (visited the French library and Alliance Francaise among other things), went to immigration and got fingerprinted for my HK identity card, was lead on an impromptu tour of HK where I took in the sights and sounds of this amazingly cool city (via subway, ferry across the harbor, and on foot), got my transit card so I can explore the city to my heart’s content, discovered all of HK’s CHEAP shopping, and, best of all, got an hour-long FOOT MASSAGE at a traditional Chinese massage place.
And had SO MUCH FUN that I didn’t even think to take one single picture to document such an epic initiation into HK living.
All of this, all of this, thanks to an amazing colleague at my future workplace who was kind enough to contact me of her own accord and take the time out (her whole day!) to show me around and give me the Hong Kong experience(a huge thank you to you! You are amazing)!
I am so very appreciative.
