I’m back from a lazy weekend in Kuala Lumpur and in exam grading, report card making hell. I’m a bit bummed because I still have sooooo much to do and my friend who was supposed to be visiting ending up cancelling his trip. I’ve been a little scarce online since the internet is not working at my house (boo!) and I can’t bother to get people to come to fix it since I’m leaving HK in a week and a half(!) anyway. I went last night to cancel my cell phone, cable, and internet, so I at least can check that off the list. I paid my income taxes (it’s not like Canada and the States where the tax is taken directly off of your paycheck) last week right before leaving for my Malaysian weekend so that’s done with as well (my bank account isn’t so happy, though)! I’m hoping to start packing this evening, but that is probably wishful thinking.
No rest for the wicked, as you can see! What other news do I have… Well, I found out that I will indeed have a place to rest my head for the 4 weeks I’ll be studying in the U.S., so look forward to plenty of stories about dorm life and how I’m managing living with a bunch of 18 to 22 year olds (yay, fun… not). I also bought a ticket to NYC, so I’ll be going for 5 days in August!! Any NYC folks out there willing to be my personal tour guide?!? Anyway, I have many stories and pics from KL, but will first share some stuff from Singapore in the next coming days. In the meantime, here’s a video I made of me and the Liebster’s trip to Bali. Sorry, it doesn’t have any music- the original movie I made did but Youtube ended up blocking the video. Darn copyright laws! So you’ll just have to deal with all the awkward silences and randomness of me talking in the vid. Enjoy!

Your villa looked amazing: serene with that laid-back luxurious vibe and that sunset with the waves crashing on the beach was gorgeous. I totally agree that after a certain age (certainly by ones' mid-20's) it's just not comfortable doing without some luxuries! Give me a cosy, comfy bed to rest my weary head at night :-D, especially after a hard day's sightseeing.

Your feral monkey encounter was certainly more amicable than what I saw go down in Japan once. Screaming schoolchildren being savaged, lunches stolen, complete chaos with a chance of rabies. Bali must be magical.
