I leave in about three and a half hours to take an early morning bus to Stansted airport, where I’ll be embarking on the final leg of my summer vacay. Liebling and I are spending two and a half weeks discovering Italy and Croatia. We land in Rome tomorrow morning where we’ll spend two days, and we’ll spend six more on the Amalfi Coast, basing ourselves in Sorrento and making day trips to Naples, Pompeii, Capri, and Positano. We then head back to Rome to catch a flight to Split, Croatia, where we’ll meet with six other friends and pick up a boat to go sailing. After a week there, I fly back to Hong Kong *tear*.
Bags are packed and my passport is at the ready. Let’s finish this thing with a bang!

I recently just came back from a few months of travelling in Europe and Asia. I loved Italy and since you are going to Rome and the campania region I thought I would share some advice.
If you have time to visit Gallery Borghese, do go; it's amazing. If you don't have time, spend some time strolling through villa Borghese (I love that place)!
Do drink from the fountains (the exit points)it's the best "tap" water I have ever had! It's amazingly cold and tasty.
Great gelato can be had from places that sell only gelato, not pizza, or other things.
In Campania:
I love Napoli it has to be my favourite city in Campania that I have visited so far. It's gritty, raw, charming, friendly and it's beautiful (lots of character.
Look into the campania art card. It saves you lots of money on sites and transportation around campania. I saved loads of money travelling in Napoli, amalfi and Selarno. http://www.artecard.it/
Eat pizza in Napoli (it's the best) I really enjoyed pizza from here http://www.pizzeriadimatteo.it/. It's one of the nest in the city.
Positano is be very crowded and is overly touristy! If you really want to enjoy it hike the trail of the gods, and stay away from the touristy beach! The best views are best the higher up you are.
