Sometimes the best experiences to be had can take place in your own hometown. I put on the skimpy outfit, skads of makeup, and sky- high feather headdress to participate in Toronto Carnival… And I had the time of my life.
I didn´t have the time or money to go to Carnival in Brazil, but the sentiment and spirit was just as present in Toronto last summer when me and a bunch of friends danced down the street to reggae, calypso, and soca music for Toronto s festival celebrating Caribbean culture! I definitely crossed this one off the bucket list!
