Spotted in the Night Market in Siem Reap, Cambodia:
This type of foot “massage” where small fish literally chew away the rough skin on the bottom of your feet is all the rage in Asia. The first place I saw this service was in Bangkok last year, though I have yet to see it in Hong Kong. Getting it done in Cambodia is dirt cheap. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m hesitant to let an animal chew ANYTHING off of my appendages (think piranhas). But apparently it’s supposed to feel a little like rubber bands lightly snapping at your heels (not appealing in my opinion). Have any of you tried this? What was it like? Please report!

I did it in Korea, it's actually pretty nice. But only if your feet aren't sensitive, I went with a friend who was laughing the whole time.
I've been wanting to do this for a while. There's a place that does it in the town where I live, but I'm not really a spa kind of person, so I've never taken the time to actually do it. Some day, maybe.

I tried it in Thailand and at first I almost freaked out and got my feet out because it felt exactly like what it is: fish nibbling on your feet! Then it just got ticklish. I was finally able to relax and stop laughing and then it was pleasant. I am not sure how good of a pedicure it really is but I would recommend to try it.
